Mills Bio:
Robert 'Bob' Mills, a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University
with a degree in Political Science, first began his political
journey when he ran for an open city council seat in Arlington,
Texas in 1995. This was a hot seat to obtain, and Mills only
obtained 30 votes coming in 5th out 5 candidates.

Mills sat out the next few years and in 2000, he was elected in
a run-off election for Dallas County Precinct Chairman for
District 1002, Mills won by 2 votes in the Primary and secured
the seat again in 2002 for now renamed District 4643 (due to
redistricting).

In 2005, Mills ran for both School Committee and City Charter
Commissioner in the City of Biddeford, Maine. Mills ran as a
write-in candidate. He won the Charter seat by 5 votes, but lost
the School Committee seat by 10 after a much publicized
recount.
Later that year an open seat for York County
Commissioner. Despite being an Independent and third on the
ballot, Mills garnered 2278 votes (15%).

In 2007, Mills won an open contested City Council seat with
79% of the vote. There were 2 other candidates running for the
seat. .. ..

In 2008, after much consideration I ran against a 28 year
Republican incumbent for the York County Register of Probate
position.  Both myself and the incumbent were uncontested in
the primary season earning us both a slot on the November
General Election ballot.  When the tallies were finally complete
on the day after election the incumbent succeeded in a very
close election.  It was her 54% (53258) win to my 46%
(45631).  We were both humbled I would have to say........

In 2009, I was reelected to
continue to serve Ward 5 on the City
Council with 100
% of the vote.  I am honored and humbled to
continue to serve. Equally serving as the Council President for
the next 2 years is an honor and privilege.

Mills is married to his beautiful wife Heather and together they
reside in Biddeford with their sons, Trenton and Cooper.  He is
completing his Master's in Management
from Liberty University.
